Will Google Plus Offer an Instant Boost to Your Chiropractic Marketing?

Just when you thought there were enough social media applications, Google, the giant of the internet, launches Google Plus (Google+). So what’s all the fuss about? And does it have a place in your chiropractic marketing?

By launching this new application, Google is taking on Facebook directly. Google+ shares a similar concept although it has certain tweaks that make it more usable and appealing for use in chiropractic marketing. It can give you an effective way to keep in touch with your patients and help them stay up to day on your office’s latest news and events.

There are five main segments of Google+; circles, hangouts, instant upload, sparks and huddles:

  • Circles – Can be used for your chiropractic business to add information on certain patients, clients, and suppliers. You can then send messages to each group. It saves trying to update your patients with news that was meant for your suppliers— and vice-versa.
  • Hangouts – Ideal for having conversations with numerous people from different ‘circles’ at the same time. It’s perfect for multiple video conversations and chatting with more than one person. In terms of chiropractic marketing, you could talk to potential patients and help them know what to expect from therapy and treatments.
  • Instant upload – If you want to promote a new chiropractic product or service, this feature let’s you take a picture or video and instantly upload it to Google+ for all of your followers to see. You can also add, remove or block certain people from seeing the video, to keep the viewing selective if you wish. Compared to Facebook, this adds more control over the visibility of pictures or videos.
  • Sparks – This is where you add a group of personal interests to your account. When you click on it, there will be something new to watch or read about, depending on the subject you’ve added. It’s a great way to keep up to date about new regulations, new laws, new facts and figures etc.
  • Huddle -a huddle is Google’s way of having a multiple-person conversation in one go. it’s like a live chat with more than one person. If you need to update your employees with a new memo or idea, then you can have share the information simultaneously. It saves time and money since you won’t have to send texts or emails to many different people.

Although Google+ is quite new and the final features are still being tested, chances are it will be very popular. Currently, you can only join Google+ by invitation only. If you’d like to receive an invitation, just shoot us an email@chiromarketingguide@gmail.com.

If used for your chiropractic business, it will be an easy way to communicate between new and existing patients, as well as with suppliers and staff. Although in it’s early days, Google+ has great potential to increase offices’ communication with patients For most busy chiropractors, time is precious, so why not give Google+ a try and take advantage of this new time-saving app.
